Today is recipe day!! I am going to share with all of you my absolute most favorite recipe of all time which is the cleansing cilantro oregano pesto. It is green, it is tasty and trust me when I say it is absolutely delicious. I seriously crave it almost every day and want it in my mouth lol.
I recommend that all of my candida cleansers consume one to two tablespoons of this pesto every single day. Why? You may ask. Well for starters, cilantro is a powerful herb, that should actually be considered a superfood in my opinion, and it is amazing at cleansing the body and removing heavy metals and toxins. It also purifies our blood, is antifungal and anti-inflammatory so for all of those reasons, it is an absolute must when doing a candida cleanse. Even if you are not doing a candida cleanse, this recipe is beneficial because we are constantly surrounded by numerous external factors that cause toxicity within our bodies. By eating cilantro, we are helping the body purge itself of impurities in our system.
The second ingredient is oregano, which in fact is the most powerful dietary anti-fungal source found in nature. It also helps aid in any kind of GI disorder or dysfunction and it is really important when we are repairing the gut.
This delicious recipe may be used on almost anything. I use it as a dip for crackers or veggies, a sauce on top of cooked fish or chicken and even as a salad dressing. The beauty of this masterpiece is that the options are endless for what you can use it on!

- 2 bunches fresh cilantro
- 4 tablespoons fresh oregano
- 2 limes juiced
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
- optional to add 1/3 cup of pine nuts
- sea salt to taste
Blend all ingredients together (a Vitamix or Blendtec works best). Store in an air tight, glass container in the fridge for five to seven days.
